Angie and Rob have a unique combination of care home regulatory and management skills. This expertise enables them to offer services of the highest quality service to clients. They are both qualified trainers, and can provide teaching sessions on a variety of issues including care planning.
Rob Fawcett
During a 22-year NHS career, Rob acquired specialist skills in the care of older people, statutory registration & inspection, care planning, complaints management, consumer relations and nursing development. He has served on many regional and national advisory groups including care homes regulatory bodies and nursing development forums.
Since June 1999, Rob has been a successful independent consultant, advising both providers and regulators of care on practice within regulatory frameworks. He has been involved in delivering training programmes for regulators under the Care Standards Act 2000. Rob works closely with legal experts in the care standards and employment fields as necessary to ensure the advice given is absolutely correct.
Rob is a Registered Nurse and a qualified teacher in adult education. He has a Master’s degree in management. His thesis is on the management of the quality of nursing care.
Angie Fawcett
Angie is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with extensive experience in the management of care homes, achieving her RMA (Registered Manager’s Award) in 2006.
Angie has managed five care homes, including a 150-bed multisite. She was employed for more than 15 years by a large corporate provider, during which time she won three awards for her effective and innovative management style. She went on to become a Quality Manager, a post she held for two years prior to becoming a consultant.
Her experience means Angie is an specialist in troubleshooting care home management issues. Angie also has particular expertise in care planning systems.
