Staff Training



Training owners, managers and staff on the requirements of the legislation, including the Acts, regulations, and Essential Standards of Quality and Safety (England) and National Minimum Standards (Wales), and on direct care issues such as care planning and the delivery of care


  • We provide training to owners and managers on their responsibilities under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (England) and Care Standards Act 2000 (Wales) and the associated Regulations and Standards. We deliver training on a variety of issues including person-centred care planning and complaints management to groups of home managers and senior managers of medium and large group care home providers, or to staff groups within individual homes, or in small group / 1:1 training sessions.


  • Sessions have included training managers on how to respond to, and when to challenge, regulatory requirements.


  • We have specific skills in training nurses on care planning and record-keeping. As well as providing direct training to staff, we advise owners and managers on record-keeping systems.


  • We advise on staff supervision, and undertake supervision sessions with managers.
